Redevelopment of East Riding Leisure Goole enters final stage

The East Riding Leisure Goole redevelopment project is entering its final stage. It is still on track to open in late 2026 with progress being made on both the indoor and outdoor facilities.

In recent weeks the exterior of the building has been transformed, signage is now up and paving is almost complete. Further work to the landscaping including bollards and a cycle shelter will follow in the next two weeks along with finishing outdoor surfaces.

Inside the building progress has been made on the reception area and bowling alley, Dockyard Bowl, with works complete on the Salt and Pepper Playport soft play and Ninja Tag gamified obstacle course.

Handrails and grills on the base of the learner pool are now fitted in preparation for the pool being filled. New flumes have arrived from America for the main swimming pool area and are almost fully installed.

The changing village and health suite are also approaching completion with final fittings taking place and tiling transforming the steam room.

The redevelopment of the centre will also see a refurbished café, gym and spin studio, fitted with LED lighting and audio/visual equipment.

The building is being funded by East Riding of Yorkshire Council with a contribution from the Goole Town Deal.
