The Men’s Tour of Britain cycle race comes to North Yorkshire on Saturday 5th September.
It can be difficult to predict the speed the cyclists will complete the 170km route with tactics, weather and many other factors all influencing their pace.
Race organisers have issued the following estimated timings:
The riders leave Market Place in Helmsley at 11am.
They’re expected in Ampleforth at 11.15am, Easingwold at 11.40am and Boroughbridge around 12noon.
The route heads through Ripon at 12.15pm, Pateley Bridge at 12.45pm and Grassington by 1.10pm.
Then it’s across the Yorkshire Dales to Kettlewell by 1.20pm, over the River Ure at Aysgarth Falls just before 2pm.
They finish in Leyburn soon after 3pm.
